Ida Grove Royal Run 2010
The Third Annual Ida Grove Royal Run
5K, 10K and 1K Kids' Run — Saturday, June 26, 2010
 
Welcome to the Ida Grove Royal Run web site
The Royal Run offers a great family experience featuring a 1K kids' run, a 5K walk for all ages, and 5K & 10K runs. Our running course caters to both competitive runners and leisurely participants alike. Come join us, take in the scenery, and enjoy the comfort of our backyard where home-town hospitality and castles meet.

Entry Fee		   $20 if registration received by June 25, 2010.
$25 race-day registration.
 
1K Kids'
Entry Fee		   $5 through race day registration.
All 1K participants receive a medal at the finish line.
 
Packet Pick-up   Packets may be picked up on the evening before the race, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, at the Ida Grove Community Recreation Center located at 311 Barnes Street in Ida Grove, Iowa.

Packets may also be picked up from 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM on the morning of the race.

Packets include a t-shirt, race bib, race day nutrition and other goodies.

The 1K Kids' Race starts at 8:00 AM in downtown Ida Grove with the 5K and 10K events beginning shortly after the 1K Kids event finish. The start and finish of all races is just three blocks from the Ida Grove Recreation Center. Directions will be provided at the packet pick up.

 
Race Course   Races begin and end in downtown Ida Grove. The 5K and 10K participants enjoy our scenic Pleasant Valley Trail on a majority of the course. The Pleasant Valley Trail is a recreation trail that surrounds the town with paved trail with many entrance points. The trail passes through or near most parks in the area, and runs near the BCIG Elementary, BCIG High School, Ida Grove Community Recreation Center, the nine-hole Golf and Country Club, and the outdoor swimming pool.
 
Top Finishers   Top three men and women's finishers in both races receive medals.
All 1K participants receive medals.
 
Showers   The Ida Grove Recreation Center generously offers use of the locker rooms and shower facilities at no charge to participants who show their race day bib.
